The content and outcomes of this course are aligned to the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Assessment (NCEA) Level 3 Mathematics (with Calculus) Achievement Standards as published by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). It is designed for students who wish to undertake university studies in mathematics and other related fields.

Students will be engaged in thinking mathematically. They will solve
problems and model situations that require them to:
1. apply algebraic techniques to real and complex numbers.
2. use and manipulate trigonometric functions and expressions.
3. demonstrate knowledge of basic and advanced concepts and techniques of differentiation and
integration.
