This booklet describes the levels, credits and types of qualification attributes of a regional qualification, the process to be followed in the development and packaging of qualifications, and the criteria and outcomes that a qualification would be subjected to during its accreditation. Examples of how certain questions in the application form could be answered are also contained within this booklet. Upon accreditation, a regional qualification would be available for delivery by providers in the region. In order to be eligible to deliver a regional qualification, providers must meet the prescribed criteria and requirements.
The booklet was developed to help organisations that intend to develop regional qualifications and seek their accreditation on the Pacific Register of Qualifications and Standards by the Educational Quality and Assessment Programme (EQAP). It should be read in conjunction with the Pacific Qualifications Framework (PQF, and the Pacific Quality Assurance Framework (PQAF). The PQAF contains standards and guidelines on the quality assurance of qualifications and units of learning.
